| What is the Unconvention? | The Unconvention is a not-for-profit, non-sponsored, invite only, social meeting of IT security professionals held in the UK. The primary purpose of the Unconvention is to get people talking and to make people buy Orac drinks.
The most recent Unconvention included a day of informal presentations on technical security topics and this is likely to continue with future Unconventions. We meet for drinks on the Friday evening, Saturday is also spent at the pub (midday onwards) where we book a room for the presentations and some lunch snacks are provided. It is traditional for at least one DVD to be watched with the projector at some point during the weekend. The Unconvention is NOT a blackhat cracker convention. Script kiddies and more talented criminals are NOT welcome. |
